Gandrayda is a character that appears in the Metroid Prime game, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Gandrayda is a freelance bounty hunter who helps the Galactic Federation and Samus Aran stop Dark Samus. Like Rundas and Ghor, she is corrupted by Phazon from Dark Samus' blast. She later fights Samus Aran due to the corruption of Phazon messing with her brain. Gandrayda is defeated by Dark Samus, causing her death, making her the third and final hunter to fall.
She was voiced by Claire Hamilton.
Appearance
Gandrayda is an unknown biomorph with a human-like appearance. She has a pink glow all over her body, blue body where her skeleton can be seen and pink spikes on her head.
History
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
As Samus Aran walks in, Gandrayda was already masquerading as her, before an annoyed Admiral Dane yells, "Gandrayda! Enough!" which she reverts to her original self as she giggles. Samus, Gandrayda, Rundas, and Ghor would be ordered to the stop the infection of a Space Pirate virus uploaded into the Federation's Aurora Unit network by the Space Pirates after they attacked and raided the G.F.S. Valhalla during a training mission, stealing its Aurora Unit, 313, to upload the virus through.

FADM Dane asks Gandrayda and the other bounty hunters to upload a vaccine into the Aurora Units to purge the virus and get the network back up to full strength. He also asks them to investigate what the Pirates are up to. However, the Pirates choose that moment to launch a full-scale assault on Norion and the Federation Seventh Fleet. Gandrayda is ordered to help defend against the Space Pirates once they attacked the G.F.S. Olympus.
Later she would go to Norion to protect the Galactic Federation against the invasion. Ghor, Rundas, Samus and Gandrayda would reach the control tower that would activate Norion's primary defense system cannon to kill a Leviathan Seed that the Pirates intend to impact into Norion. Dark Samus would appear to attack them, using a blast to corrupt them all with Phazon. Samus remained conscious long enough to activate the cannon and save Norion before she passed out.
Phazon would begin corrupting Gandrayda. While still in control of herself, she was assigned a Phazon Enhancement Device, or PED, and ordered to investigate the location of the Space Pirate Homeworld. However, after she found it, she was fully corrupted by her own internal Phazon and became totally loyal to Dark Samus, becoming one of her top lieutenants in the Space Pirates. When Samus Aran, after awakening from her own coma caused by her infection from Dark Samus, arrived on the Pirate Homeworld herself, Gandrayda disguised herself as a Federation Marine and sent out a distress call, which Samus responded to. Finding the marine, despite her own knowledge that the Pirates don't take prisoners, Samus aids the marine with getting closer to acquiring a Hazmat Suit to protect her from the acid rain of the Pirate Homeworld due to their heavy industry, but once in a large open area after activating an elevator to take them up, the marine started shooting at her. The marine would turn out to be Gandrayda and the fight would begin.
After the fight, Gandrayda would be defeated by Samus Aran. Gandrayda would be changing into different forms until Dark Samus appears to kill her. It is during this that she apparently forewarns Samus of the fate that befell her, Rundas, and Ghor, and warns Samus that this will be her fate as well if she succumbs to her own corruption. Samus can only look away and clench her fist in anger before Dark Samus claims Gandrayda's remains and leaves Gandrayda's Grapple Voltage behind for Samus to claim to allow her to aid in the destruction of the Pirate Homeworld Leviathan Seed and then see to avenging Gandrayda and the other bounty hunters with traveling to Phaaze and destroying Dark Samus once and for all.
