In Pokémon - The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back, a Dragonite acted as a delivery Pokémon, as one delivered Mewtwo's invitations to exceptional Pokémon trainers, ostensibly for a tournament on New Island.
Drake's Dragonite
In Hello, Pummelo! and Enter The Dragonite, Drake was shown to own a Dragonite, which he used in a Full Battle against Ash at the Pummelo Stadium. Being Drake's ace, it proved to be extremely powerful, using many powerful moves to defeat three of Ash's Pokémon before ultimately losing to Pikachu, earning Ash the Orange League Winner's Trophy.
Lance's Dragonite
In Talkin' 'Bout an Evolution and Rage of Innocence, Lance used a Dragonite to fight Team Rocket and defeat the Red Gyarados. In The Scuffle of Legends, it helped stop the feuding of Groudon and Kyogre, and in Pride of a Champion!, it fought Diantha in the Masters Eight Tournament.
Clair's Dragonite
In "Fangs for Nothin'", Clair encountered a female Dragonite who belonged to an old gym leader and was guardian of the Holy Land. She became enraged after Team Rocket tried to steal a Dragon Fang and it was up to Ash and Clair to stop her. After Ash and his friends won, Clair caught the Dragonite. Clair's Dragonite reappears in "A Pokémon of a Different Color!" as she becomes enemies with Iris' Dragonite. She also reappears in "Iris VS Ibuki! Road to Dragon Master!!" for Iris' battle with Clair.
Professor Oak's Dragonite
In "The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon", Professor Oak sends out his Dragonite to fight Mirage Master/Dr. Yung's Mirage Pokémon.

Ash's Dragonite

Trivia
- As an April Fool's Day joke, Expert Gamer magazine claimed that Yoshi (of Mario Bros. fame) was the evolved form of Dragonite.
- Dragonite and its evolutionary relatives share their category with the Horsea evolution line members, Salamence, and Kalosian Goodra. All are known as the Dragon Pokémon.
- From all the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon (except Dragapult and Baxcalibur due to being recent), Dragonite is the only one that doesn't get a Mega Evolution, Regional Variant, Paradox Variant and Exclusive Z-Move.
- The reason why Dragonite didn't get a Mega Evolution is because its name ends with -ite which is what all Mega Stones end with.
