“ | Hey, origami girl! Look at me. I'm Bowser! I breath fire and punch through solid rock sometimes! You think I'm scared of that little twerp? Plus, I mean... I'm raising Junior. You think that's easy? Try parenting a "high-energy" kid with access to a flying car and his own army! Your brother doesn't scare me. | „ |

King Bowser Koopa Sr., often nicknamed Paper Bowser, is the main antagonist of the Paper Mario series and one of the two main antagonists (alongside his mainstream counterpart) of the 2015 role-playing video game Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.
He is the ruler of the Koopa Kingdom and the archenemy of Paper Mario. However, much like his mainstream version, Paper Bowser has had a few heroic roles throughout the series, such as Super Paper Mario when he teamed up with Mario to stop Count Bleck (and Dimentio) from destroying the multiverse, and was one of the two extra heroes of Paper Mario: The Origami King (alongside Paper Luigi).
Much like his original counterpart, he is voiced by Kenny James, while In The Thousand Year Door (as well as it's remake) he was voiced by Scott Burns, in Super Paper Mario, he was voiced by Eric Newsome.
Personality
He is somewhat different from his mainstream counterpart and is more comical and incompetent in appearance. also being more open to help Mario and his friends. He is also more comedic at times and cares a lot about his minions. If a villain harms his army, he will defend them with his last breath. While he has a short fuse, meaning he explodes in rage over slight inconveniences, and is arrogant and egotistical at times, he can also display very rare moment of kindness, particularly towards Olivia, whom he encourages whenever she is in conflict about her confrontation with King Olly.
Heroic Deeds
- Bowser is one of the Four Heroes in the Light Prognosticus, so he takes part in saving the multiverse from Count Bleck, and later, Dimentio. It may be for selfish reasons, but it does not change the fact that he still willingly helped saved the multiverse.
- Bowser is a major supporting character in Paper Mario: The Origami King, where he is stapled into the form of a tiny box for most of the game. Upon the death of the Stapler, he assumes his true form and helps Mario and Olivia confront King Olly. Once King Olly folds himself into a larger form during the final battle, Bowser is folded into the gigantic Mega Bowser and proves instrumental in the defeat of King Olly's second form. Unfortunately, the tyrant's final form sends him flying off into the abyss, but he survives. Once King Olly is defeated and peace is restored, there is an apparent ceasefire of tensions between the Bowser and Mushroom Kingdom, as Bowser and his minions join in the Origami Festival.
