“ | The one chosen by my creator. I have been waiting for you. You will play a role in a great destiny. According to your social customs, I should provide you with my personal designation. Fi is the name I was given. I was created for a single purpose, long before the recorded memory of your people. I must aid you in fulfilling the great destiny that is your burden to carry. | „ |

“ | When I first awoke and began this task, I perceived it as merely serving my function as a servant to Her Grace. However, I have come to consider the information corresponding to our time together among the most precious data I have on record. I do not have the capability to fully understand the human spirit, Link… But now, at the end of my journey with you, as I prepare to sleep within the Master Sword forever, I experience a feeling I am unable to identify. I lack sufficient data to be sure of my conclusion, but I believe this feeling correlates closest to what your people call… happiness. Our partnership is at an end, and even as we speak, I feel my consciousness fading away. Before I enter the sleep that calls me to the sword, I wish to relay to you words that I recorded many times over the course of our journey. Many have said them to you thus far, but I now wish to say them for myself… Thank you, Master Link. May we meet again in another life… | „ |
~ Fi's farewell to the original Link before being sealed away. |
Fi is a major character in The Legend of Zelda video game series, appearing as the titular deuteragonist of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and a minor character in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
She is the spirit residing in the Goddess Sword who accompanies Link on his quest to stop Ghirahim and rescue Zelda. In the process, Fi guides Link into his role as the Chosen Hero and forms a close friendship with him.
She was voiced by Ayumi Fujimura who also voiced Zelda in A Link Between Worlds and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Personality
Fi is a very intelligent and powerful sword spirit who is immensely loyal and helpful to her allies. In spite of this, however, she admits herself that she struggles with registering and expressing human emotions, although she is capable of detecting them in others such as Ghirahim and Link, and admits to Link that although she doesn't understand it completely, she felt happy assisting him on his journey and with her role as the Master Sword. In spite of her rather apathetic nature, Fi is always fighting on the side of good and doesn't hesitate to do what she thinks is the right course of action. She is also fiercely loyal to Link's other incarnations, with the Link from Breath of the Wild being a prominent example as she communicates with Princess Zelda to take Link to the Shrine of Resurrection, which shows that she refused to let him fall so soon while Calamity Ganon is active. When he has recovered his lost strength and regains the Master Sword, Fi chimes in happiness in having reunited with her master once more.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
During the Guardian of Remembrance DLC's secret ending, one of the scenes has Link and Zelda hanging out at Hyrule Castle when the voice within the Master Sword calls out the moment Link turns away from Zelda, once again presumed to be coming from Fi, which pleasantly surprises the witnessing princess while Link doesn't take notice of it.
