Nathan Graves is a vampire hunter from the Castlevania series. He appears as the main protagonist in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Nathan uses the Hunter's Whip, in contrast to the Vampire Killer wielded by the Belmont and Morris clans.
Appearance
Nathan Graves is a silver haired man who wears dark green and brown clothes, black pants and two metallic boots.
Biography
Past
Nathan's parents, along with their partner Morris Baldwin, set out on a quest to seal Dracula, the prince of darkness. After a long and hard-fought battle, Morris was able to seal Dracula away, only to find out to his horror that his two friends had gotten killed in the battle. Taking their young son Nathan, he began raising and training him alongside his own son Hugh Baldwin to become fully fledged Vampire Hunters.
During training, Hugh beated Nathan at every challenge and contest the two had over the years. During the coming-of-age ceremony, Morris would decide which of his two apprentices would gain the Hunter's Whip, an enchanted whip with the power to repel evil; whoever received it would go on to become Morris' chief disciple. Hugh, who was confident that his father would pick him because of being the better warrior out of the two, was shocked when he bestowed the honor on Nathan instead. This led to bad blood between both of them for years to come.
In-game
Ten years later at an Austrian castle, a vampiress named Carmilla managed resucitated Dracula using an arcane ceremony. Morris, Nathan, and Hugh arrived to stop her, only to have Morris kidnapped and the two boys cast into the catacombs. Determined to save his father, Hugh instructed Nathan to flee the castle and leave Dracula to him. Nathan wanted to save his master as much as Hugh, though, and set out on his own, quickly finding his way out of the catacombs by defeating Cerberus.
Using the power of the Hunter Whip, Nathan advanced through the castle and met Hugh a couple of times. After steadily gaining power through the DSS cards wich granted him many abilities, Nathan single-handedly saved Hugh's life more than once and defeated many of the monsters in the castle, Including Carmilla herself. Near the end of his journey, Nathan was confronted with the horrible revelation that Hugh had been manipulated by the dark forces of Carmilla into turning against Nathan and try to kill him to ''Prove himself to father''. After besting Hugh making him go back to his senses, Nathan confronted and defeated Dracula in time to save his master Dracula retreated to a different Dimension to gain his full power But Nathan was able to defeat him once again and destroy him.

Super Smash Bros.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nathan Graves appears as an advanced-ranked primary attack-type spirit. His spirit battle is a stamina battle against a green Richter Belmont who has an extra midair jump with increased jump but reduced jump height on the Find Mii Stage with no hazards.

- Nathan's name is translated as "Nathan Grabes" in the Japanese Circle of the Moon instruction booklet.[1]
