Shin is a swordsman and is usually silent. When it comes to his swordsmanship he is very serious. Shin is a bodyguard and have an undying devotion to Teresa Wisemail. He was hired by Teresa's father, Alec Wisemail.

During the Dunan Unification War, he continue to protect Teresa, after the citizen of Greenhill convince Teresa to escape, he along with Teresa joined the New State Army. After the war, he left Greenhill to sharpen his skill as a swordsman, and never returned.
Shin comes in with good physical strength. His real value lies in his high luck and tech, allowing him to deal a lot of critical, counters, status effect, as well as a good dodge rate, which comes in handy against his sub par defense, both physical and magical. In other words, he is a good front line glass canon. Give him a Killer Rune and cast Clay Guardian on him to increase his pros while diminishing his cons and making him a solid character to have.

Trivia
He originally may be from the New Armes Kingdom, according to his outfit (which is similar to that of New Armes' citizens) and said country being located south of the City-States of Jowston. This all fits with Richmond's Investigations.
Shin is one of the three characters who have the battle animation based from Street Fighter's Ken (Other is Zamza and Oulan). Unlike aforementioned 2 characters, his attack is affiliated with the Spider.
