Bernand (ベルナンド) is a character mentioned in publications related to Suikoden II. The first King of the Dunan Monarchy, Bernand managed to unite much of the lands that would eventually become the Dunan region during his reign.

Biography

Bernard was the first of the Dunan Monarchy, which he established in SY 110. He united what the Dunan region: the modern-day Dunan Republic principalities of South Window, Muse, Greenhill and Two River. Although King Bernard imposed heavy taxes on his people, the region remained unified under his rule.

Three generations after his passing, the kingdom entered a gold age. However by SY 185, Muse, under the leadership of Revier, broke away from the Dunan Kingdom, with other principalities quickly following suit.
