Kent (ケント, Kento) is a minor character in Suikoden II.
Profile
Kent is the son of Lucy, the proprietress of the inn in the Highway Village. He befriended Futch, while he and Humphrey were staying in the Highway Village. Futch told Kent about his time as a Dragon Knight and the loss of his dragon. Kent, hearing rumors of a dragon living on Mt. Rakutei, went there alone to help his friend.
Story
Suikoden II
During the Dunan Unification War, Futch met Kent at the Highway Village, and told him about his time as a Dragon Knight. Futch temporarily handed him Black's Scale, something that Futch was keeping as a memento.
Hearing rumors of a dragon living on Mt Rakukei, Kent went there to help his friend. He was able to use the scale to reach the top of the mountain. Unfortunately he encountered the Harpy, and fell unconscious to the ground.
Futch and Humphrey along with Riou and his party, fought the Harpy and rescued him. After being rescued, they found a baby Dragon, which Futch decided to keep. When Kent tried to return Black's scale to Futch, Futch told him to keep it, as proof that he will become a Dragon Knight again. Kent was filled with hope, and looked forward to the day that he would see Futch riding on a dragon.
Notes
- For years another woman in the game has been mistaken for Kent's mother (the woman who gives you Recipe 32). However, Genso Shinsho Vol.9 and the game state that Lucy is his mother.
