Treasure Token

The Treasure Token^[1] (トークン^[2], Tōkun^?, lit. "Token") is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a collectable item received by clearing the Fishing Spot minigame and used as currency to exchange for various purchasable items useful in the Open Zone gameplay.

Description

Treasure Tokens are simple tokens depicted as round white icons in the HUD with fish symbol under the inner ring. The HUD icon flashes green each time they are earned.

Overview

In Sonic Frontiers, Treasure Tokens are present during the game's Fishing Spot minigame hosted by Big the Cat. Big holds infinite amount of tokens and he will grant different amount of Treasure Tokens based on what type of fish Sonic manages to catch each time. With the required amount of tokens, Big will also trade them for some of the treasures he has found.^[3] As such, Treasure Tokens along with Gold Cards, can be exchanged for any item with different price found on the "Trade Tokens" store list.^[1]
