Barracuda

The barracuda^[2] (オニカマス^[3], onikamasu^?) is an animal that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a predatory fish that can be caught during Fishing Spot minigame.

Description

Based off of the real-life great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda), the barracuda is a thin, silver, predatory fish with notably large, sharp teeth. Its body is streamline, with its jaws pointed to the front of the body.

Overview

In Sonic Frontiers, the barracuda is one of collectable fishes to be earned in Fishing Spot minigame hosted by Big the Cat. Depending on where it is located, it will reward the player a varying amount of Treasure Tokens: it is worth 6 tokens at the Western Fishing Spot^[2] and 12 tokens in the Northern Fishing Spot.^[4]
