Portal 3-5 or just 3-5, is a Cyber Space stage in Sonic Frontiers. It is the fifth Cyber Space stage in Chaos Island, and the nineteenth one overall.

Description

Main article: Green Hill

3-5 is a location in Cyber Space inspired by Green Hill, based on the specific depiction from Sonic Generations. Being part of the Cyber Space realm, it is a rather fragmented, incomplete version of Green Hill at daytime.

Portal location

In Chaos Island, the entrance Portal to the Cyber Space stage is located on a small island northwest of M-069 and the Squid boss, accessible via the purple rail gate south of the Elder Koco and west of the Excavator boss.

Gameplay

3-5 is an entirely 3D stage. The stage's gimmicks include Wooden Containers and Dash Panels. It also introduces a new gimmick, Drift Dash Panel, exclusive to this stage, which allows the player to Drift. The stage also doesn't contain any enemy, with the only hazards being the Bottomless Pits.

Overview

The stage starts with Sonic sprinting towards a Jump Panel, which will launch him into the level. The stage is pretty linear, with only one path available. Throughout the stage, in order to progress, the player can use Dash Panels and Drift Dash Panels. Alternatively, the player can avoid these gimmicks by jumping over them, and instead use Light Speed Dash on the Ring trails, or simply Boost/Slide, all three moves being deactivated while in Drift mode.

Regardless of the way the stage is played, the player will have to repeat those actions until they reach the Portal Gate.

Red Star Ring locations

• The first Red Star Ring is located in front of the second Drift Dash Panel row.
• The second Red Star Ring is found near a Drift Dash Panel row, under the first spiral.
• The third Red Star Ring is located between the first Drift Dash Panel and the first Dash Panel row after the Star Post.
• The fourth one can be found right after the third Red Star Ring, near 3 Wooden Containers.
• The last Red Star Ring is located in front of the Portal Gate, and similarily to the fourth one, near 3 Wooden Containers.

Trivia

• While 3-5 is original, it has elements comparable to Savannah Citadel Daytime Act 2 from Sonic Unleashed.
