SWAT Van

Removed Content

SWAT Van has been removed from the game as of the 29th of October 2020.
SWAT Van may still exist in the game's code, though it is no longer officially used in-game. This page has been preserved for historical purposes.

Description

The SWAT Van (Special Weapons And Tactics Van) was a vehicular unit that could be spawned by the Enforcer's ability, which was enabled at Level 5. The ability itself had a cooldown of 45 seconds. As with other units, the SWAT Van started from the end of the map path and moved towards the entrance of the map.

Appearance

The SWAT Van was a typical blacked-out law enforcement van, complete with bullbars, sirens and headlights. It had metal-plated tires and the word "SWAT" on its side, verifying that it was a SWAT Van.

Strategy

  • The SWAT Van is great for enemies that spawn in hordes during the round, like the Fallen or Glitch.
    • It is also quite useful in reducing the health of high health enemies, like the Shadow Boss, Giant Boss and Tank.
    • Additionally, multiple SWAT Vans be used to quickly reduce the health of the Amalgamation, since it is unlikely that the Amalgamation will be able to recover all of its health.
    • The SWAT Van can deal full collision damage to shielded enemies, like the Summoner Boss and Templar.
  • On two-pathed maps, only one SWAT Van will spawn per Enforcer ability. It will go down a random path in some maps, like Infernal Abyss, but may always go down one specific path in other maps, like Badlands.
  • You can "micromanage" the Enforcer to continuously spawn SWAT Vans, helping you reduce the health of major bosses, like the Fallen King.
    • This can be done by placing down an Enforcer, upgrading it to Level 5, using the Enforcer's ability to spawn a SWAT Van and eventually selling it. This is repeated multiple times.
    • Take note that this drains your money significantly, so you can only do this during the later stages of the game.
      • If you do not have a significant amount of money, you can always repeatedly use the ability of an already placed down Enforcer.

Trivia

  • The SWAT Van was likely based on SWAT vehicles common in the United States, likely the Lenco BearCat.
  • The Enforcer's ability to spawn a SWAT Van was voiced by YouTuber JOHN ROBLOX. There were three lines:
    • "Strike force moving out."
    • "Strike force rolling."
    • "Copy, strike force is on the way."
