"A mad explosives expert capable of knocking back and burning enemies."
―Inventory Description

Description

The Hallow Punk is an exclusive ground tower that deals Splash Damage, which knocks back all enemies hit. It is unlocked by triumphing all the Hexscape Event nights on the Easy difficulty. Most recently, it was made obtainable again through a limited-time gamepass for Robux 399. As this was done for the Lunar New Year, players also received the Lunar skin for it.

The Hallow Punk is an early-game Splash Damage tower that deals medium damage to enemies within an explosion radius. However, the Hallow Punk has a slow firerate. All enemies hit by it will be knocked back, while at Level 3, will have burn applied to them. Additionally, it does not have damage drop off when enemies are away from the center. It does not bypass defense. This tower does not have hidden detection, requiring the use of other towers to attack Hidden enemies, like the Minigunner, though it does have lead detection at Level 0+ and flying detection at Level 3.

The Hallow Punk can be effective against low-mid health crowds of enemies, but struggles against high health hoards of enemies. It can however be useful at knocking them back. The Hallow Punk is considered an early-mid-game tower.

The Hallow Punk has a placement limit of 12 per player.

Strategy

  • Due to the Hallow Punk's cheap cost, a few of them placed down can be effective in the early-game, being quite effective against hordes and even high health enemies that appear during early-game.
  • If the Hallow Punk fires and the enemy is out of range, the missile will still track it down and hit it.
    • Paired with its high range, this makes it near impossible for an enemy to avoid at least one rocket from the Hallow Punk.
  • The Hallow Punk has lead detection at Level 0, and flying detection at Level 3, making it a decent option against such enemies.
    • It also means it can be used to take down Lead Balloons, though because of its low DPS it will likely be unable to take care of them on its own.
    • It does not have hidden detection, though it can still indirectly hit them if they are in its explosion. However, this is not reliable as it requires other enemies to be near the Hidden enemy, while also not being effective against high health enemies such as the Hidden Boss or Possessed Armor.
      • Other towers need to be used to deal with these enemies effectively.
      • A Level 4+ Ace Pilot and UAV can be used to give it hidden detection.
  • Changing Hallow Punk's targeting to Strongest, making it deal highest damage possible.
    • Random targeting can also be useful, especially at Level 3 where it gains burn.

Trivia

  • The Hallow Punk is the first tower to have only 3 levels.
  • During Containment, if Easy difficulty is selected, the Hallow Punk is included in all loadouts as a sixth tower, even if the player had not obtained the Hallow Punk.

Notes

  1. On Levels 0-2, through splash damage, flying enemies may be hit indirectly if another detectable enemy is nearby.
  2. Through splash damage, hidden enemies may be hit indirectly if another detectable enemy is nearby.
  3. Firerate does not account for projectile travel time.
  4. DPS assumes only one enemy is hit and receives full splash damage, and does not account for projectile travel time.
With burn, Total DPS is calculated as Normal DPS + Burn DPS, with Burn DPS being calculated as Burn Damage ÷ Tick.
  5. 15.96 Normal DPS + 12 Burn DPS
