Description

The UAV is one of the three uncommon consumables. The UAV has a 6.94% (6.76% with VIP+) chance to be gotten from a Low Grade Consumable Crate and a 11.54% (8.82% with VIP+) chance to be gotten from a Mid Grade Consumable Crate.

Only up to four UAVs can be used in a match by a single player. It has a 50 second cooldown, though when the match first starts the cooldown is set to 40 seconds. The cooldown does not appear until the UAV consumable has ended.

Usage

Unlike all other consumables, the UAV is instantly activated upon being chosen. This will cause the UAV to appear in the sky and circle the map for 30 seconds, giving all towers 30% more range, hidden detection and flying detection.

Appearance

The UAV is a grey MQ-9 Reaper. The inventory and hotbar icon shows the blue range icon in the top right corner to indicate that it is the UAV consumable.

Strategy

• If you do not have proper defenses to deal with hidden enemies, such as the Hidden, Hidden Boss, Shadow or Shadow Boss on their debut waves, the UAV can be used to allow other towers to detect them.
  • This usage also applies for flying enemies, such as the Balloon Kid.
  • Beware that the UAV can only be used four times in a match per single player and lasts for 30 seconds per use.
• The UAV can be pretty useful in Fallen mode, as it can give every tower flying detection on early waves like 29 or 31.
  • This is especially useful as it can save a match if you forgot to upgrade your flying detection towers to higher levels, making them insufficient to deal with flying enemies.
