Description

v1.42.0 is the ninety-fifth update to be released in Tower Defense Simulator, on the 20th of November 2024.

This update encompassed two updates, the v1.42.0 update (released 20 November 2024) and the minor v1.42.0a (released 21 November 2024).

Towers

  • Commando reworked.
    • Commando is now purchasable through a gamepass for Robux 799.
    • Bullets now pierce through enemies.
    • Commando now fires in bursts, which end in a burst cooldown. Additionally, it has a limited amount of ammo. The firerate listed in its statistics box is actually the burst cooldown and not the time between each shot.
    • Missiles are now fired out with the Missile ability.
      • Missile splash damage no longer has damage dropoff.
      • One missile reloaded per cooldown.
      • Missiles can be fired in its missile range, which is double of its regular range.
      • Missiles stun enemies that were hit by it.
      • If missiles do not hit an enemy, they will remain on the path for their lifespan, exploding when an enemy steps on them or their lifespan ends.
    • Placement limit of 8 added.

        • Damage increased from 2 to 6.
        • Firerate decreased from 0.508 to 0.208.
        • Burst cooldown of 0.508 added.

    • Number of slots for Mission Quests reduced from six to five for the time period that T.D.S. Commandos is guaranteed to appear, reduced further to four after these two days.
  • Battlepass Boost is now active on all maps.
  • Battlepass Boost currency boost increased from 50% to 100%.
  • Lobby updated.
  • Fixed Engineer sentry lifespans not scaling with Time Scale properly.
  • Fixed Fallen Honor Guard not using its For Honor ability.
  • Fixed Patient Zero receiving high damage from unit collisions when they dealt damage to its regenerated health.
  • Fixed Blizzard Bomb freezing effect having the possibility to not disappear, freezing enemies infinitely.
  • Fixed being able to select any tower from the loadout in Tutorial, which allowed for them to be placed in spots that the Commander did not request to be placed in.
  • Fixed players not being able to interact with emotes used by other players, such as the Gift or Conga.
  • Fixed Crossbow Turret skin not facing the correct way.
In v1.42.0a:
  • Disabled reviving.
