Abilities are the means through which players interact with the game world. Dealing damage, defending allies, constructing deployables, changing Champion mode or making use of special movement capabilities.
Each Champion has several abilities, including one Ultimate Ability, an especially powerful ability which can only be used once the Ultimate Meter has been filled.
Abilities are the main difference between Champions. Abilities also define a role.
- Front Line champions have more defensive abilities like those that provide shields.
- Flank champions mostly have movement, teleportation, and stealth abilities.
- Support champions typically have healing and augmenting abilities.
- Damage champions have more damaging and movement-enhancing abilities.
Abilities are accessed through certain preset keys, primarily Right Mouse Click, Q, and F, ("trigger" and "bumper" buttons for console versions).
The cooldown of the champion's abilities can reduced with Chronos. Banish, Stun, Silence, Polymorph and Fear prevents the target from using any ability.
