Amazy Dayzees (also spelt as Amazee Dayzees and sometimes called Legendary Crazee Dayzees) are glowing and stronger variants of Crazee Dayzees that appear in the Paper Mario series.
In Paper Mario, these enemies are found only in the Flower Fields. Near the tree containing the Blue Berry, Mario can find a single Amazy Dayzee among the two frolicking in the small patch of flowers near the tree. The fight with an Amazy Dayzee consists of the lone Crazee Dayzee, the Amazy Dayzee can either flee from the battle immediately or attack, their attacks are incredibly powerful and deal 20 damage to Mario (sometimes being enough to kill him), Amazy Dayzees also have a Defense point making them take one less damage, Amazy Dayzees have 20 HP so it is highly recommended to use badges to bring one down, badges such as the Mega Rush may help (Mario can deplete his HP to one before engaging in battle with an Amazy Dayzee and deal the extra damage). Upon its defeat, Mario is granted several Star Points (usually ranging from 20-50), unless he has reached the level cap of 27, and several coins.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Amazy Dayzees appear along the Twilight Trail. These Dayzees appear during the forest fights with other regular Crazee Dayzees. In these fights, sometimes a lone Amazy Dayzees will appear in the back, behind many other Crazee Dayzees in the fight. Amazy Dayzees also appear in the final ten levels of the Pit of 100 Trials. Here, Amazy Dayzees will randomly appear in the basic battles of the pit, at the end of the enemies. Sometimes, two Amazy Dayzees can appear in the same battle. Just as before, Amazy Dayzees have a high tendency to flee from battles and possess very powerful attacks which can likely kill Mario and his allies, their stats in this game are the same as they were in the previous game. The use of certain power-increasing/inducing badges and items is highly recommended upon spotting and engaging an Amazy Dayzee. Upon defeat, an Amazy Dayzee will give 20-50 Star Points and plenty Coins.
Super Paper Mario
In Super Paper Mario, Amazy Dayzees are found in the Gap of Crag. These enemies, if startled by Mario or his friends, will run away, and sometimes switch dimension in which case, Mario must chase them into the third dimension to continue whaling on them. Like the original Dayzee's offering of a high number of Star Points, these Dayzees give Mario many points of experience. Amazy Dayzees also sometimes drop Golden Leaves for Mario to collect. In Chapter 8-2 in the Castle Bleck Foyer, Mimi, disguised as Merlee, asks Mario, Peach, and Luigi several questions on which enemies scares them the most. one of the answers to her third question is "Amazee Dayzee" which can be chosen as an answer, and later will be found as one of the traps set up by Mimi in the third room. Amazee Dayzees can also be found in the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials in Room 58 and a much more dangerous varitey called the Dark Dayzee can be found in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.
Amazy Dayzees are not as strong, now only doing 10 damage per attack, but their HP has been increased to 30. Additionally, Amazy Dayzees now no longer have any Defense points.
"This is an Amazy Dayzee. Amazy Dayzees are so rare that they're also called the Legendary Crazee Dayzees. Max HP: 20, Attack Power: 20, Defense Power: 1 These guys almost always flee at their first chance. It would be nice to beat one, but be careful! Their attacks pack a powerful punch!"
Trivia
With their high attack power, Amazy Dayzees are among the strongest standard enemies in the game (even exceeding the strength of many of the games' bosses).
In Paper Mario, the Bump Attack and First Attack can never be used against these enemies, as they will always give more than 1 star point.
