The Syam is a Duviri Nikana wielded by Dax Gladius. Its unique Heavy Attacks send out fast Heat shockwaves, cutting down foes at a long distance.
Characteristics

- Unique Heavy Attacks releases shockwaves that travel up to 230 meters and pierces targets.

Impact proc.
- The second Heavy Attack releases a narrow vertical shockwave that deals 1500
Heat damage.
- Shockwaves share the same status chance and critical as the normal attacks.
- Shockwave damage is affected by melee damage mods,
Condition Overload, elemental mods, and Melee Combo.
Heat damage will combine with other elements as expected.
- The shockwave can travel over obstacles wide enough to accomodate it, including uneven terrain and staircases.
- The shockwave only occurs when the Syam is wielded by Warframes, not the Drifter.

- Blocking can reflect projectiles back to the enemy firing them.
Drifter Combat

Acquisition
The Blueprint for Syam can be purchased in Teshin's Cave for 50 Pathos Clamp or
250. Purchasing using the former will unlock the Drifter-compatible version and the blueprint for a Warframe-compatible version; purchasing using the latter will unlock both versions.
Additional Warframe blueprint copies can be purchased from Cephalon Simaris for 100,000.

Notes
- Unlike other Nikanas, the Syam does not force proc
Slash on a heavy attack. Slide heavy attacks function as per normal and will proc slash.
Bugs
Condition Overload is multiplicative to base damage sources like
Pressure Point on the heavy attack wave.
- When used on a Warframe, the sheath is heavily off center and causes the blade to clip through it. This applies to both the base skin and most alternate skins applied to it.
