The AX-52 is a 
Scaldra assault rifle[1] repurposed by Arthur during the year 1999. Gains increased Ammo Efficiency when hip-firing or Critical Chance on headshots while aiming.

History
A built AX-52 was acquired by watching TennoCon 2024 on WARFRAME's Twitch with a Twitch-linked account for 30 consecutive minutes, between 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET, on July 20th, 2024. The drop included a free weapon slot and pre-installed Orokin Catalyst.

- The headshot critical chance increase while aiming is additive with Primary Acuity.
Trivia
- The AX-52 bears a striking resemblance to a Kalashnikov rifle, a family of assault rifles that includes the AK-47 and the AK-74.
- The "AX" portion of the name may be an interpretation of AKS, a variant of the AK-74 that has a folding stock.
- The "52" is derived from subtracting 47 from 99 (in reference to 1999).
- AX-52 first appeared in TennoCon 2023's Whispers in the Walls gameplay teaser. Upon the quest's formal introduction in Update 35.0 (2023-12-13), the weapon is listed as "????". The quest AX-52 also had a magazine size of 30 instead of 40, and an ammo max of 500 instead of 540.
- An AX-52 can be found in one of the rooms of the Netracells.
- The weapon has a non-static model, with a reciprocating charging handle.
- Early versions of this weapon were depicted with the fire selector in the "safe" position. This was later changed by the time of Tennocon 2024.

Hotfix 36.0.8 (2024-07-25)
- Changed AX-52’s Critical Chance headshot mechanic to Stacked Multiply instead of Add when applying the Critical Chance buff.
- This addresses unintended interactions with Abilities such as Xata’s Whisper.
- Also updated the Unique Trait description to better communicate the end result of this Critical Chance headshot mechanic. The buff effectiveness has actually increased very slightly, but players should expect similar results overall.
- Was: Aimed Headshots have +100% Critical Chance.
- Now: Aimed Headshots have +400% Critical Chance.
