Edun befits a dexterous warrior. Heavy Attack to throw Edun. Edun explodes after it is embedded in an enemy.

The Edun is a Duviri Polearm wielded by Dax Heralds. Performing a Heavy Attack will throw a copy of the polearm, which explodes shortly after impact.

Characteristics

  • This weapon deals primarily  Slash damage
  • Stance slot has polarity, matching  Shimmering Blight stance.
  • Unique Heavy Attack throws an Edun in an arc, dealing 480 physical damage on contact, then exploding for 400  Blast damage in a 5 meter radius.

Drifter Combat

  • Power Strike (blocking + heavy attack, default RMB  + MMB ) quickly slashes upward in a short range to  Knockdown the foe, opening them to ground finishers.

  • Normal Attack (wiki attack index 1)
    • Very high crit chance (34.00%)
    • Above average total damage (220)
    • High attack range (3.00 m)
    • High crit multiplier (2.60x)

Disadvantages over other Melee weapons (excluding modular weapons):

  • Normal Attack (wiki attack index 1)
    • Below average status chance (20.00%)
    • Low disposition (●●●○○ (0.95x))

See WARFRAME Wiki:Stat Comparison/Percentiles for more details.

Melee Attack Explanations
  • A "sweep attack" is an arcing melee strike that intends to hit an enemy with the edge of the blade (the length of obround melee hitbox).
  • A "thrust attack" is a melee strike that intends to hit an enemy with the tip of the blade (the rounded edge of obround melee hitbox).
  • A "360/spin attack" is a sliding sweep attack that hits targets around the player (not always in a 360° arc, but is usually above 180°).
  • A "direct slam attack" is a melee strike that hits a single target at the epicenter of a slam attack. Affected by the Seismic Wave mod.
  • A "radial slam attack" is the area-of-effect component of the melee slam attack. Affected by the Seismic Wave mod.
  • A "ranged attack" is any melee attack that launches a ranged projectile or can hit targets beyond melee range.

  • Average Damage Multiplier per second only applies to single-target DPS calculations.
  • Note that hits marked as "Radial Slam Attack" will not apply at the epicenter of a single target hit so these will not be accounted for in Avg Dmg Multi/s calculations.
  • Combo animation lengths are approximate and are only accurate within a few tenths of a second.
  • Each tile marking in stance preview gifs are 2m apart.
  • Combos labeled with an asterisk (*) are shared between weapons within the same weapon type.

Notes

  • Normal polearm Heavy Attacks can be performed by executing Heavy Attacks during a slide.

Heavy Attack

  • Thrown polearms deal 480 damage, split between 30%  Impact, 40%  Puncture, and 30%  Slash, with a guaranteed  Impact proc.
  • 1 second after collision, the polearm will explode in a 5 meter radius, dealing 400  Blast damage with a guaranteed  Impact proc. The explosion has damage fall-off.
  • Can be controlled by  Ivara's  Navigator.
  • Projectile speed can be increased by  Zephyr using  Jet Stream.
  • The throwing animation moves the warframe before the polearm is thrown, making the throw slightly misaligned with the aim from before the throw.
    • This is made worse by by Tennokai attacks, especially when combined with attack speed increases.
  • Throwing attacks do not benefit from the bonuses to Tennokai attacks granted by Tennokai mods, such as the increased damage from  Master's Edge, but can otherwise use the inherent benefits of Tennokai.
  • The initial hit and delayed explosion of thrown polearms only gain the benefits of heavy attack-exclusive effects such as  Killing Blow,  Dispatch Overdrive,  Life Strike, and the doubled crit bonus from  True Steel if the warframe is in a heavy attack animation when they hit an enemy.
    • This means the initial hit will often benefit at close range, but with sufficient distance from the target, and/or increases to attack speed which shorten the end-lag of the throw animation, it may not. The explosion will never gain these benefits from a single throw.
    • The initial hit and explosion can still gain these benefits if they hit while the warframe is performing another heavy attack after the original throw.
      • This includes the throwing heavy attack, normal slide heavy attacks, and even heavy attacks performed with an Exalted Weapon.
  •  Condition Overload only adds 20% damage per status type to the initial hit instead of the listed 80%, and does not apply its increase to the explosion damage.

Tips

Using Sacrificial Steel will raise the Critical Chance above 100%, applying the 2.6x multiplier on every normal attack.
