Strun Prime is the Primed variant of the Strun. In addition to being a direct upgrade, it has gained innate punch through and longer damage falloff range, but at the expense of slower reload speed. It was released alongside
Nidus Prime and
Magnus Prime.
Characteristics
- This weapon deals primarily
Impact and
Slash damage.
- Reloads one shell at a time at a rate of 0.4 seconds per shell, which can be interrupted at any point, allowing for planned reloading.
- Reloading has a total 0.6 second delay to start and end.
- Individual shell reload causes magazine increasing effects to increase total reload time.
Advantages over other Primary weapons (excluding modular weapons):
- High overall status chance (0.8 procs per shot on average).
- Innate 0.8 meter punch through.
- The linear damage falloff is further away than most shotguns: from 100% to 50% from 26m to 52m target distance (distances are affected by Projectile Speed).

Notes
Incarnon Genesis
- Upon completion of The Duviri Paradox and Angels of the Zariman, and unlocking The Steel Path, players can earn
Strun Incarnon Genesis from The Circuit's Steel Path to place on their Strun with the help of Cavalero in the Chrysalith. This Incarnon Genesis form grants it evolutions to a transformation and newfound strength.

Tips
- Because of the need to reload the magazine one shot at a time, the Strun Prime has an extremely slow reload speed before reaching maximum ammo capacity. It can therefore benefit from things that help economize its loaded ammo such as
Energized Munitions, or those that bypass its reloading mechanism such as from
Garuda's
Bloodletting with the
Blood Forge augment, to maintain the weapon's otherwise generally high overall DPS output potential.

Patch History
Update 32.0 (2022-09-07)
- Ammo Changes
We understand the power fantasy of these weapons is very popular for some, so our first approach was to keep them powerful, but limit how often they can be used by making changes to ammo pick-up.
Ammo Pickup Overrides
The following weapons now have ammo pickup overrides, meaning they gain less from picking up ammo. This mostly applies to AoE weapons, in hopes that players will become more deliberate with their aim to make the most of their Ammo pools. The following lists the specific ammo pick up overrides per weapon category.
Primary Weapon Ammo Pick Up Overrides
15 Ammo per Pick Up:
- Strun Prime
Update 30.7 (2021-09-08)
- Introduced.
