Nalleo is a young boy who copied everything his father do. His mother, Louise, handed him to Dario when he was a little child as she could not properly care for him. Dario raised him and taught him everything about piracy. His real father died a long time ago.

Suikoden IV
During the Island Liberation War, he along with his father, Kika, Sigurd and Hervey joined Island Liberation Navy. While on board on the Dauntless, he feel sorry for not being strong and was unable to help on the fight. He wanted to become as strong as Lazlo and he thought that Lazlo was a pirate. He was often eating with Rakgi, a young boy who is close to his age. On the suggestion box, he left a message and asked who was his mother, but Nalleo didn't knew that he already met his mother on the ship. His mother wanted to keep her identity a secret to Nalleo. After the war, the legend says, he became a pirate reminiscent of Dario.
Suikoden Tactics
At the Fall of Kooluk, he along with Dario joined Kika and Kyril's group on their search for the Rune Cannon. While he was with Kyril's group, he was now fighting alongside his father and comrade, he under went training under Hervey and Sigurd. Hervey also gave him an advise that with Nalleo's physique, a sword would be easier to use for him than an axe, but he insisted and still used his axe just like his dad. After the Evil Eye was destroyed, he along with Dario, Sigurd, Hervey and Kika went back to Nest of Pirates and continued their life as pirate.
Keen: You have done well by coming here. In this room, you may confess what is in your heart and accept proper judgement.
Nalleo: O-Okay!
Keen: Would you secretly inform me about anyone on board this ship who you think is causing problems?
Nalleo: Hmm... Daddy, I think... Oh! This is just between us, right? Daddy... pilfered a broiled fish again the other day and ate it at night... *sigh*
Keen: Then, would you tell me what you think of Lazlo?
Nalleo: He's what I aspire to be! I want to become a strong pirate like Mr. Lazlo in the future, too.
Keen: Finally, quietly confess the things you wish to atone for, or all the things that you are thankful for.
Nalleo: I still can't handle a sword properly, and I can't use magic well, either... so I can't fight with everyone... I want to apologize to everybody. I want to say that I'm sorry I'm not strong.

Every so often, I hear stories about something my mother did. Does someone know who she is? I wonder if she's alive... If she is alive, I'd like to meet her once.

If you visit the Nest of Pirates during Chapter 10 on Wind or Earth day. Nalleo and Dario will join you. If you visit on Fire or Water day, you'll get Sigurd and Hervey instead, but you can return to pick up the other two after Chapter 14.
Do you like seeing big, violent damage totals? Dose the thought of wiping the enemy out at top speed appeal to you? Well, this is your boy. Be sure to boost up Battle Lust, Smash, and Counterattack. Ogre Breath is a great idea unless you have a second Hand of God around (Lalacle gets the first). You may want to forego Ogre Mail, though, as he's doesn't have good DEF or EVA. so give him the highest DEF armor you have.
It'll be tempting to bench Dario in favor of Nalleo as you move along, but their unite makes it worthwhile to have them keep a close pace. While some might consider his other unites to be too awkward to use effectively, they do give him some great Good Will partners, especially Sigurd.
