Shinichi (しんいち) is a student at Nekketsu High School that debuted in the Famicom version of Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club. He is often depicted as Kunio's practice partner and second-in-command on the dodgeball team.
From Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club – Soccer Story and onwards, he would often be given the same face one of the normal enemies used in Downtown Nekketsu Story.

Shinichi appears as a member of Nekketsu High School's team.
In the intro of the game, Shinichi is seen playing catch with Kunio at the school until they are interrupted by Takashi and Misako. With Misako's soccer team receiving food poisoning, she asks Kunio for his dodgeball team to fill in, though Shinichi is reluctant on wanting to help out. During the team's meeting, Shinichi appears baffled that Kunio wants them to play soccer and argues that he's the only one who wants to help Misako, though he and the rest of the team are immediately convinced when Misako offers to give them all a kiss if they win.

Shinichi appears as one of the enemies in each opposing clan.
Go-Go! Nekketsu Hockey Club Slip-and-Slide Madness
Shinichi appears as a teammate on Nekketsu High School's dodgeball team.
In the intro of the game, Shinichi is seen practicing dodgeball with Kunio at the school until Kunio accidentally hits Yōichi with a ball. Upon realizing who he was, Yōichi explains to Kunio about the current situation with the school's hockey club and how it'll be shutdown if they lose another game. Kunio offers Yōichi a practice game against his dodgeball team, though Shinichi appears confused that Kunio wants them to play hockey now.

Super Dodgeball Brawlers
River City: Tokyo Rumble
In the story mode, Shinichi is seen practicing dodgeball with Kōji and Ichirō. When Kunio walks by and throws them a super shot, Shinichi suggests that Kunio comes to practice, though Kunio states that he's not currently in the mood for sports. On another day, Shinichi plays against Kunio in a match of dodgeball.
River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~
Shinichi appears as a member of the Nekketsu Dodgeball Club team and can be played outside of the story mode. Shinichi is able to use the Compressed Shot and the Obu-obu Shot.
River City Melee: Battle Royal Special
Shinichi returns as a member of the Nekketsu Dodgeball Club team and is involved in the story. Shinichi's moveset remains unchanged and still uses the Compression Shot and the Obu-obu Shot.
