Alex (アレックス) is a student at Oklahoma High School first featured in Surprise! Nekketsu New Records! The Distant Gold Medal. He is described as being dexterous and participates in a variety of sports in an attempt to become popular. He always achieves above-average results, though he's never gained any popularity so he's instead considered starting a band.

Alex debuts in Surprise! Nekketsu New Records! The Distant Gold Medal as a member of the Oklahoma team that was flown out by Tōdō.
In the localization Crash n' the Boys: Street Challenge, Alex was renamed to Tank and is now a member of Team Thornley.
River City Super Sports Challenge

Alex appears as a character unlocked from winning a game with a team only consisting of Johnny, Raphael and Jimmy in free battle. Alex is able to use the Dash Aura Punch and Torpedo Swimming.
River City Melee Mach!!
Alex appears as a member of the All American Team and is involved in the story mode. Alex is able to use the Large Rotation Attack, Fireball Spike, and the Deadly Drop.
River City Saga: Three Kingdoms
Alex plays the role of Hao Meng, a general in Lu Bu (Misuzu)'s army.
Hao Meng first appears in chapter three as part of a side quest Guan Yu (Kunio) is able to take from Gao Shun (Johnny). Gao Shun mentions to Guan Yu that they're running low on Lu Bu's special fuel which he believes will anger her if she finds out. Gao Shun suspects Hao Meng to be the culprit as he's in-charge of the provisions though has not reported any shortages, so he asks Guan Yu to interrogate him in Pengcheng. Upon finding Hao Meng, he will ask Guan Yu what he wants, to which Guan Yu will claim that Lu Bu's been wondering if he was working hard. Hao Meng will begin to panic and claim that he's got the provisions secured. When Guan Yu asks to inspect the provisions, Hao Meng accuses him of being a thief and begins to fight after Guan Yu calls him out on his hypocrisy. After being defeated he begins to worry about what's going to happen to him, though Guan Yu assures that Gao Shun plans on handling things himself before Lu Bu finds out.
