Koshiba is a second year student at Reihō Academy that was first featured in River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~. He is Tōdō's top henchman and is described as being a quiet guy who follows orders well. He lacks motivation in his life and has a laid back attitude that irritates his opponents. Koshiba is well trusted by Tōdō to carry out orders because he is smart and a capable fighter.

River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~
This remake of Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day re-imagines the events of that game. The story takes place after River City: Rival Showdown.
Koshiba is first seen at the park with Nito and stops Nanase as he passes by them. The two attempt to ask Nanase to not let Kunio participate in the tournament, though resort to threatening to go after Nanase's friend Matsuda as a way get him to do what they want. With Nanase eventually agreeing to their request, the two begin to give orders to him. After the first round of the qualifiers, Koshiba and Nito return to the park to hand Nanase a bottle of poison that's intended to be given to Kunio. When asked by Nanase if they were responsible for the bomb that went off, Koshiba pretends to act confused and claims that Nanase is blaming the wrong person.
During the ending of the game, Koshiba and Nito arrive at Reihō Academy's booth talking about Koshiba's future career. When asked by Onizuka on Tōdō's whereabouts, Nito answers that he was seen running in the field, to which Koshiba appears confused on why he'd still be out running when the tournament has already ended.
River City Saga: Three Kingdoms
Koshiba plays the role of Gao Lan, a general in Yuan Shao (Tōdō)'s army who's military prowess competes with the bravest generals of Cao Cao (Yamada)'s army.
Gao Lan is first seen at Ye in the first chapter where he'll talk about how amazing Yan Liang (Kamijō) and Wen Chou (Yamamoto) are but points out the fact that their tendency to run off and get lost is their only downside. On the hot-blooded route of the fourth chapter, Gao Lan will appear during the finale against Yuan Shao and his army.
