Gisshan uses Sleep most of the time. He will start using Vitalize once he and his party are low on HP (heals about 60 HP). Concentrate all your fire power on the old man. Use the Frost and Eldritch genes with Ryu, Iceblast with Nina (if she has any AP left) and an attack formation with Garr in front (should land approximately 100+ damage if you've apprenticed him with Bunyan). Ryu should use Frost Breath each turn. Make sure you equip Nina with the Ring of Fire and Ryu with a Magma Armor. Once Gisshan is dead, his two pets will attack much less frequently and you can finish them off at your leisure.
