Griol is a non-playable character who appears in Breath of Fire III. He is the patriarch of the Dragnier, the home of the last remaining members of the Dragon Clan. Along with most of the other villagers, Griol gave up his dragon abilities in order to escape the Goddess Myria and her Guardians.
Role in Breath of Fire III
When Ryu and his party arrive in Dragnier, Griol instantly recognizes him. After inviting Ryu and his friends to stay, Griol informs him of what Dragnier is, and who the people that live there really are.
