Earth is the opposing element of wind and is usually nullified, or otherwise incredibly ineffective, when used against flying enemies. It is represented by the icon:
Resistance table
An individual's earth resistance follows the following formula:
Resistance Level | Effectiveness |
---|---|
0 | 300% as damage to HP |
1 | 200% as damage to HP |
2 | 100% as damage to HP; default level |
3 | 75% as damage to HP |
4 | 50% as damage to HP |
5 | 25% as damage to HP |
6 | Immunity (no damage to HP) |
7 | Absorption (100% of damage converted to HP recovery) |
Breath of Fire IV
Earth is the opposing element of wind and is usually nullified, or otherwise incredibly ineffective, when used against flying enemies. Cray is the only player character in the game to possess an affinity to earth and, as such, benefits from an innate level 3 earth resistance, rather than the default level 2.
