Strategy

Their only really threatening attack is Blizzard. Multistrike can cause some serious damage too if hit three times, but this is not likely to happen.

Recommended formation

- Ryu, Rei, Nina - Attack Formation with Ryu on the point

Have Nina equipped with the Ring of Ice (If you have it). Ryu should instantly turn into a Thunder Warrior (Force+Gross+Thunder), and attack them with Focus and Thunder Claw, dealing 1800+ damage. Depending on your level, you can kill a Ammonite in one attack. Rei should cast Speed on Ryu, just for assurance, as a Thunder Warrior with the Gross gene will probably have EX turns already. Nina can cast Myollnir on the Ammonites, dealing 300-500 damage, if she doesn't have the spell yet, use Lightning or Thunder Clap, dealing 180-350 damage. Anyway, as this battle will take probably two or three turns with the powerful Thunder Claw, Nina's main purpose will just be finishing off the second Ammonite, if it's not dead yet.

On the first or second turn, you can use Rei to steal two Moon Tears from the monsters using Pilfer.
