The Fruit is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are items that can be consumed by the Chao for various effects.

Overview

In the Sonic Adventure series, its rereleases, and the Tiny Chao Garden, Fruit can be brought from the Black Market or found growing on the Trees in the Chao Gardens. Fruits can be fed to the Chao to raise up their stats and bellies to prevent them from getting hungry. Every Chao has their own favourite Fruit and least favourite Fruit which will be refused to be eaten by the Chao.

Trivia

• Hero Chao will refuse to eat Dark Fruit and Dark Chao will refuse to eat Hero Fruit due to the Fruit and the Chao being opposite alignments.
• Two Fruit go unused in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, that being the Smart Fruit and Mint Candy.
