Grandma

Grandma^[1] (おばあちゃん^[2] O bāchan^?) is a character that is mentioned in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She was the former leader of the Knuckles Clan, the mother of Pachacamac and Tikal's grandmother.

History

Past

The former leader of the Knuckles Clan, Grandma lead her small country down a passive path.^[1] Well-versed in her clan's legends surrounding the Chao, the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds, Grandma would raise her granddaughter Tikal and pass her knowledge onto her, including an old mantra. Grandma's teachings likewise instilled strong pacifistic beliefs in Tikal who loved her grandmother dearly.^[3]^[1]

When Grandma passed away, Pachacamac took over and directed the Knuckles Clan into a series of violent conquests of the neighboring countries. ^[1]^[2]

Personality

Unlike Pachacamac, Grandma held strong peaceful beliefs that she would instill in Tikal. She similarly lacked her successor's ambition for conquest, as the Knuckles Clan's country was much smaller during her reign.^[1]
