Sal is a minor but important character in Amphibia. He is an old friend of Hop Pop, and he created his own sauce recipe, which he used at his sandwich shop and later at his own sauce factory in Newtopia.
Appearance
Sal looks similar to other elderly frogs seen in the series such as Hop Pop and Monroe. He is a short frog of blue color. In Hop Pop's detective-esque style narrative of the episode, he is only shown in black and white. He has a lighter underbelly and wears a striped waistcoat over a white t-shirt accompanied with a bow and dress pants. He has slick white hair and a wispy French mustache.
Personality
Sal is a friendly old frog who is good friends with Hop Pop. He values tradition, but is unafraid to change, and believes it's a necessary part of life.
