Name and basis
Crumpet is based on the character Kermit the Frog, an anthropomorphic frog from the long-running Muppets franchise. His puppet-like movements are similar to Kermit himself, while his eyes and collar also resemble that of Kermit. However, unlike his counterpart, Crumpet has only four fingers instead of five, like the other Amphibians of the series. Crumpet is also light blue while Kermit is light green.
Crumpet's name is derived from crumpet, an English griddle cake that is considered a delicacy in fine dining, as well as Kermit's name.
Voice
Crumpet is voiced by Kermit the Frog (Matt Vogel).[1]
Debut
Crumpet made his debut and only appearance in the episode "Swamp and Sensibility".

Trivia
- Throughout his entire time on-screen, Crumpet's lower half is obscured and his legs are never shown. This is a reference to Kermit's restricted visibility since the Muppets are operated by puppeteers from underneath the torso.
- He is the second character in a Disney animated series to be voiced by a Muppet. The first being Dr. Enamel from Big City Greens, who was voiced by Fozzie Bear.
