" It's just my summer uniform / It's just a fitness test / It's just veggies. Garlic. Lots of lard. Soy sauce / It's just a blood pact." is the fifth episode of the Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu anime series.
Synopsis
Komi wonders why everyone starts staring at her when, like the rest of the student body, she switches from her winter to her summer school uniform.
Summary
Komi is somehow even more attractive in her summer uniform, causing everyone to gawk at her. Only Tadano does not react this way, but when she asks why everyone is acting funny, he becomes flustered as he realizes.
Yadano is determined to beat Komi during fitness tests, but loses yet again in every single event. However, during the 50m sprint, Yadano notices Komi's beauty as she surpasses her. Finally accepting that Komi is better than her, she offers a truce and a handshake, but Komi is too confused and anxious to shake her hand. This causes Yadano to declare Komi her rival, technically making her Komi's fifth friend.
Najimi asks if they and Tadano can visit Komi's house, and Komi - who has never had friends over - agrees. There, they meet her very outgoing mother, Komi Shuuko, who embarrasses Komi. The trio go to Komi's room, but Komi finds she has no idea how to entertain others. Taking matters into their own hands, Najimi leaves Komi and Tadano alone together in the hopes they will start awkwardly flirting with each other, but nothing happens. Mildly irritated, Najimi goes through Komi's stuff, including conversation help guides and a childhood photo album. After the two leave, Najimi sends Komi photos of their visit, which Komi saves in a photo frame.
Komi invites Tadano and Najimi to visit a ramen shop. Overhearing them, Agari, a self-proclaimed ramen expert, takes everyone to her choice of ramen shop, Ramen Darou. The shop happens to be a hardcore ramen shop, with numerous unspoken rules that Tadano and Najimi both fail at. Meanwhile, Komi unknowingly performs them all perfectly, which earns her admiration from the chef, but she misinterprets this as having broken one of the rules. They end up going again the next week.
Omoharu Nakanaka, a Chūnibyō, walks into the classroom and claims Komi is "Princess Komilia", her friend from a previous life. Komi, having no idea what she is talking about, reacts with curiosity, causing Nakanaka to flee when she cannot properly explain herself. As Najimi tries explaining it to Komi, they end up using Tadano as an example, to his dismay: in middle school, Tadano was a chūnibyō that always tried to act cool, eventually using this to publicly confess to a girl named Rami Kawai. However, when she rejected him for his demeanor, he vowed to become normal from that point onward, hence his attitude at the beginning of the series. Later, Nakanaka finds herself alone at gym class after everyone tries to partner with Komi before eventually partnering with each other. Seeing that she's lonely, Komi volunteers to be Nakanaka's gym partner. Nakanaka tries to thank her afterwards, but reverts to her chūnibyō persona. However, Komi accepts this, resulting in Nakanaka becoming Komi's sixth friend.
Najimi takes Tadano's umbrella and leaves a note, so Komi and Tadano share hers. She notices that he let his shoulder get wet to give her more cover. At a convenience store, Tadano realizes that Komi read Najimi's note and waited for him so they could share hers, much to his joy.
