Masarad the Sun-Flash[1] is a mentioned-only Carja character in Horizon Zero Dawn.
History
Masarad chose to live an outlander's life, far beyond the Sundom. In the Claim, he fought Oseram warbands for scrap, crushing their helmets. South of the Sundom, he fought against plains raiders, taking the arrows they shot straight out of his body and firing them back.[1]
When the Liberation of Meridian took place, Masarad returned to the Sundom, fighting for the side of Avad. Despite his legendary skills as a fighter, Masarad fell fighting Jiran's Kestrels, with it taking hours to recover his body beneath the heap of dead Kestrels above him.[1]
Legacy
Masarad holds a legendary reputation among the Carja, with details about his exploits depicted in scrolls, such as the book Captains and Capers, speaking very highly of him.[1]
