Prudent Basadid[1] was the seventh Sun-King of the Carja tribe.
History
Basadid was suddenly anointed the Sun-King after Sun-King Iriv and his cohort disappeared beyond the Daunt. In response to Iriv's disappearance, Basadid ordered the construction of a garrison at Blazon Arch, and another fortress at the Sundom's western edge.[1] Basadid chose to have the fortress built atop an ancient ruin, believing that the Old Ones seized this location for its strategic value. After construction was completed, under the blazing eye of the Sun, Basadid and his High Priest, the Irrefutable Pashaman, named the fortress Sunfall.[2]
To discourage further expeditions into the west, Basadid declared the land west of Sunfall and the Blazon Arch to be the Forbidden West, where only the Sun may go.[1]
While Basadid held out hope that Iriv might one day be found, unfortunately, this never came to be.[2]
After his reign ended, Basadid was succeeded by the Radiant Khuvadin.[1]
