The GKS is a submachine gun featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

"Full-auto submachine gun. Low recoil with high accuracy at range."
— Description

The GKS is a submachine gun developed in California by the fictional manufacturer Grizzly Tactical. It also has an MKII variant and two Mastercraft variants.

Multiplayer

The GKS is a highly accurate, low recoil submachine gun with high accuracy at range and a below-average time-to-kill. Due to its fast handling, the GKS is the prefered weapon for highly accurate players, however the weapon may be outclassed in many combat scenarios.

Optics such as the Reflex may be chosen over the default iron sights, however this is entirely up to personal preference. Using a longer-range optic, such as the Recon or Dual Zoom, allows the player to properly utilise the GKS's unique accuracy profile by better engaging enemies at long distances.

As for general attachments, Quickdraw and Long Barrel are preferred choices for the GKS as it allows the weapon to compete against assault rifles in long-range combat. The Grip attachment, and more specifically Grip II, can be very beneficial for the GKS; while its recoil is not particularly high, the little movement from recoil it does have may hinder longer range gunfights. Another notable attachment for the GKS is the Suppressor, which allows for a stealthier playstyle.

The GKS also has the Quad Shot as an Operator Mod, which transfers the weapon into a four-round-burst, allowing for controllable bursts of damage at longer ranges.

Zombies

The GKS appears in the zombie maps Voyage of Despair, IX, Blood of the Dead, Classified, Dead of the Night, Ancient Evil, Alpha Omega and Tag der Toten where it's available on the wall for 1300 points and as a weapon within the Mystery Box for 950 points.

When upgraded via Pack-a-Punch Machine, it becomes the Ghoul Keeper's Subjugator with the magazine size increased to 52 rounds and its ammo reserve increased to 312.

Attachments

The GKS has a decent variety of attachments, primarily focused on improving accuracy and handling. The GKS also has the Quad Shot, an Operator Mod which turns the weapon into a four-round burst while increasing its damage range.

Call of Duty: Mobile

"Fully automatic submachine gun. Low recoil with high accuracy at range."
— Description

The GKS returns in Call of Duty: Mobile. It was added as part of the Season 5 Steel Legion update.

Multiplayer

The GKS received a damage buff, turning it into a close to mid range shredding machine. It acts as a small assault rifle rather than a SMG, due to the fact that it has no negative multipliers to the whole body, making it extremely consistent compared to the rest of its class. Its damage does drop off at 30m, however that can be improved with Gunsmith.

Aim down sight time is 260ms, slightly slower than average. However, it has the best accuracy in the game and second best range in its class. From 0-20m, it takes 4 shots to kill, which is noticeably better than many ARs and all SMGs in the game. However the 5 shot kill range is only 30m, and past 30m the gun will take 6 shots to kill. This 5 shot range is actually shorter than the Razorback, however the GKS has much faster handling compared to the Razorback.

Iron sight is extremely clear like its Black Ops 4 counterpart, an optic is only optional.

Magazine size is 25 rounds, lower than average. But it also has one of the best attachment lists in the game, the 32 round fast mag has no downside and the 40 round Extended Mag only reduce movement speed by 1%, which is hardly noticeable.

With season 9: Conquest, it received the first adjustment, headshot went from 1.1x to 1.3x, base damage was increased from 25 to 28, which means when hitting two headshot at every range will reduces the shot to kill by one.

With season 1: New Order (2021), it received the second adjustment, reload time was reduced from 2.15 seconds (base mag) to 1.8 seconds and from 3.12 seconds to 2.5 seconds (dry reload).

Battle Royale

The GKS has great hipfire spread and high accuracy at mid range. It also sports high damage at close range.
