The Chaos Smash is a move that was set to appear in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). It is Shadow the Hedgehog's counterpart to Sonic's Homing Smash. The move is only known to the player when they purchase the blue Memory Shard at the Shop, where the owner mentions that the Chaos Snap granted is an upgrade for both the Chaos Attack and Chaos Smash.[1] The move would have been Shadow's counterpart to Sonic the Hedgehog's Homing Smash.

According to an unused voice clip in the game, it would've been activated by pressing and charging the /Cross and then releasing it.[2]

Through hacking and modding the game, Chaos Smash can be found within the game's files. While the move can be restored, it will not have full functionality. When restored, it allows Shadow to charge a Homing Attack in mid-air by holding the /Cross and releasing it will launch enemies into each other and can break enemy shields.[3]
