AiAi (アイアイ) is the main protagonist of the Super Monkey Ball series.
Appearance
AiAi is a short brown monkey with large ears with a swirly pattern in the middle of them, and has the fur atop his head in a quiff. His eyes are Pie-eyed style similar to early cartoon characters. He always wears an orange t-shirt with the letter 'A' in white writing on it and occasionally wears a sky blue backpack.
AiAi has a tail but it's incredibly short and stubby.
History
Super Monkey Ball
AiAi lived peacefully upon Jungle Island with his wife MeeMee and child Baby when GonGon, the leader of the Gorillas came from a distant island, bringing a raid to the island to take all of the bananas for themselves.
AiAi has a vision of a Banana Island paradise that exists in the sky, and sets out with his family to go there. Before he goes on his quest the Grand Monkey teaches him a magical spell: "Ei Ei Poo!" which will allow AiAi to encase himself in a special Monkey Ball allowing him to traverse the deadly traps and terrain that awaits him and his family.
