YanYan

YanYan is a character of the Super Monkey Ball series.

Appearance

YanYan is a ring-tailed lemur, and as a result she has a long striped tail. Her hair is put into spiky bunches that explode from the sides of her head, and she has blue, red and white hair charms keeping them in place. She wears a striped dress with a white collar and two golden buttons upon them.

History

YanYan first appeared in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz where she has a crush on AiAi. She seems undaunted by the fact he has a wife and child.

She is described as being a fearless and energetic young girl who studied the strongest monkey martial art, Hachi-en-Ken, under tutorage from her father before recently moving in to the same neighbourhood as AiAi, MeeMee and Baby.

Trivia

• YanYan and GonGon are the only two playable characters in Super Monkey Ball who are specifically said not to be monkeys, but part of the primate family. YanYan is a lemur and GonGon is a gorilla.
• MeeMee is said to feel 'uneasy' about YanYan, being aware she is flirting with AiAi according to the Banana Blitz manual. She's also not surprised YanYan is attracted to him, but wishes she wouldn't flirt with him.
• Her father is said to be the strongest primate in the world.
• YanYan is the best jumper in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. Her inertial speed is the worst in the game however.
