Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll
Jam debuts in Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll where he acts as a guide and instructor for the player on how to use the Wiimote, Nunchuck and Wii Balance Board via the Jam Dojo he runs. He is very supportive of the player and the monkeys, and seems to be doing his best to help judge party games, improve the players fitness and generally give tips and tricks to the player.
Super Monkey Ball 3D
Jam returns in Super Monkey Ball 3D where he is a playable character in the party games section.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splits
He reappears in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz once again in the role of a playable character for party games.
Super Monkey Ball Bounce
Later he is kidnapped by Professor Boscis alongside AiAi's other friends and must be rescued in Super Monkey Ball Bounce.

- Jam, despite debuting in Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll was not available as a playable character until Super Monkey Ball 3D.
- Jam is seen in the background of all the Step & Roll party games.
- Jam's singing is said to be especially bad, as a cutscene shows other monkeys throwing items at him.
- Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania has Jam as an unlockable character for 5000 banana coins. This will allow him to be playable in the main campaign for the first time ever. Usually Jam is relegated to the party games only.
- Jam has an alt version of himself known as N. Jam, or Ninja Jam.
- Jam is said to be enthusiastic and energetic but not very bright according to his in-game biography in Super Monkey Ball 3D.
