Phoena

Phoena is the deutagonist of Chain Chronicle, and the keeper of the titular book.

Appearance

Phoena is a blue haired young woman who wears her hair in a large braid to the side. She wears a large fur trimmed winter coat.

Personality

Phoena is at the start of the game suffering from memory loss, and is driven by a desire to return her memories to her. She is also very reliant on others at the very beginning, constantly getting herself into scrapes with the Black Army she needs Yuuri and the others to rescue her from.

However as she begins to recall who she is, Phoena grows more determined and confident, growing out of her damsel in distress phase and becoming the true heroine she is. She is determined to save the world from her possessed father.

History

Phoena is first encountered in Chain Chronicle being attacked on the plains of Yggdra by Black Troop monsters summoned by the Chain Chronicle she holds onto. Luckily she is saved by Yuuri and Pirika, and tries to entrust Yuuri with the Chain Chronicle before passing out. Yuuri and Pirika take her back to the Vice-Capital and place her in the infirmary.

After she comes around, she reveals she has memory loss. Pirika suggests that if she comes with them, she might be able to recover her lost memories, and Phoena immedietly agrees, requesting to join the Volunteer Army.

As Phoena continues her journey, she begins to recall scraps of her memory, eventually recalling that she is the daughter of the Black King. With renewed determination, Phoena swears to retrieve her father's Chronicle and help Yuuri and Pirika prevent him from plunging the world into darkness.

Trivia

• Phoena is incredibly bad at cooking, to the point several in game stories lean on her total inability to cook anything non-poisonous, including one valentines day event where the cooking becomes a monster begging for Yuuri to eat it, and another where she creates a chocolate sword for Yuuri that inflicts poison on enemies.
• Phoena appeared as a limited time free log in character in Sin Chronicle alongside Yuuri and Pirika.
• Phoena also appears as a limited time event character in Kotodamon as the sole representative of Chain Chronicle.
• Phoena, Yuuri and several other Volunteer Army members appear as playable units in Brave Frontier.
• Phoena appears in Seiken Densetsu RISE of MANA alongside Yuuri.
