— Description of forming Hittite |
The Hittite was a formable located in the Middle East and Western Asia. It is also considered to be part of Europe
due to the stretch of land around the Bosporus in Turkey. It is a relatively easy formable to form, as you only need Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Cyprus to form.
Background
The Hittites were an ancient group of Indo-Europeans who moved into Asia Minor and formed an empire at Hattusa in Anatolia (modern Turkey) at around 1600 BCE.
The Hittite Empire reached great heights during the mid-1300s BCE, when it spread across Asia Minor, into the northern Levant and Upper Mesopotamia.
Like many Indo-Europeans, the Hittites were able to travel long distances and migrate to other lands due to the domestication of horses. The spread of technologies like the wheel and wagon, which were also used in ancient Mesopotamia and other early civilizations in the region, also assisted pastoralists and agrarian civilizations.
After about 1180 BC, the empire ended and splintered into several independent Neo-Hittite (new Hittite) city-states, some of which survived until the eighth century BCE.
Economy and Manpower
Hittite has a large income of $2,624,940, mostly coming from Turkey and Syria. It also has a maximum manpower cap of 982,385, which is great for expanding further beyond its territories and possibly forming the Ottoman Empire. (If Turkey)
Geography
Hittite is hilly and sometimes mountainous on the Anatolian peninsula. Hittite is also hilly at Lebanon. Everywhere else is flat. The Hittite borders Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Israel, Greece, and Bulgaria.
Strategy
The Hittite is a relatively easy country to form if you have Turkey as your starting country. Firstly, justify war on Lebanon and Cyprus. Cyprus can be taken early by Greece while Lebanon by Egypt or Israel. After this justify on Syria and use most your troops to speedily take them out. If Israel has already taken Lebanon you should only attack if they have no allies, weak allies, or allies that are far away. Greece would be more difficult but possible if you have some experience. Egypt is a bad idea unless you call an ally like United Kingdom, Italy or France. The other strategy is diplomacy (not recommended, as this can get very tedious). Anyways, good luck!
If you play as Syria or Lebanon, you still can form this even if Turkey is a player. Focus on forming Levant first to get rid of Israel and Cyprus, then rush into Egypt when it is an A.I so no one can ruin your plans. Just be aware that Saudi Arabia will become threatening if you do this method. The trick is to build up your economy so you can defend. Then you must fortify your capital and some other cities, then use artillery, infantry and anti aircraft. If you can get anti-tank, this will help immensely, as well as getting tanks of your own if you can. Use Submarines and Destroyers to protect your shores, and possibly a Battleship if your economy is strong enough. If Turkey rage quits or is bad at defending you can annex them.
If you want to play as Cyprus to form Hittite, then you should most likely reconsider. Cyprus is one of those nations to where everything around it is a threat, besides Malta. It has very little expansion options, with the most accountable being Albania, Malta, Monaco, Lebanon, and Tunisia. And even then you'll most likely be annexed by Turkey or Greece.
Threats
The most common threat to forming is Egypt, but if formed by Syria, Lebanon or Cyprus - Iraq, Syria, but most importantly Turkey are threats too. If you proceed to form Levant first as Syria or Lebanon before forming Hittite, then Saudi Arabia will become a huge threat. If your playing as Cyprus, everything besides Malta is a threat.
