Massara (まっさら, Massara^?) is a song that originated from KEYBOARDMANIA 2ndMIX that later made a crossover appearance in pop'n music 8. It is the initial unlock from the Sugoroku de 8 (すごろく de 8, Sugoroku de 8^?) unlock event. To unlock this song, the player had to land directly on Shizuoka, Japan for their first trip, or simply passing it on their next trip. The song was available from July 17, 2002 through August 28, 2002 in the arcade release.

まっさら was added to pop'n music Lively on April 2, 2025, as part of the Pop'n Quest (ポップンクエスト, Pop'n Quest^?) unlock event.

• On the pop'n music 8 location tests, まっさら's title was shown as MA-SSA-RA.
• Along with the other BEMANI songs crossed over to pop'n music 8, まっさら displays ♪♪♪♪♪ as the artist. This has never changed.
• In the pop'n music 18 せんごく列伝 location tests, まっさら was not present. However, it reappeared in the final release.
• まっさら was removed from the BEMANI category in pop'n music Sunny Park.
  • It returned to the BEMANI category in pop'n music éclale.

Continuing from "Pink Rose", "Massara" officially traveled to pop'n from "KEYBOARD MANIA"♪.
The theme of the first lyric was just summer, and I think it's the truly perfect time.
The artist name isn't listed in the game, but as a brief explanation to those who don't know, this is a song by "natural bear", who're famous for "Koi wa tennen" and "Sweets". That's why, when this song appeared in KEYMANI, I wanted it to be included in pop'n someday~, so I'm happy that it was realized.
The 9 buttons in pop'n might not be as great to play like an actual keyboard, but I hope you'd enjoy this song's light groove.
