Linus is a song that belongs to beatmania IIDX 6th style, and is the first entry for wac's song series based on the fictitious Van Pelt family from Charles Schultz' Peanuts. It became a crossover song for pop'n music 8, and is the 21st unlockable item in the Sugoroku de 8 (すごろく de 8?) unlock event. The song could be unlocked by landing on Kanazawa, Japan on the player's third trip, leading to Sado. The player shall walk across Sado to gain Linus as their new song. If the player failed to land on Kanazawa, they would have to go to Sado or pass it on their fourth trip. The song was available from July 17, 2002 through August 28, 2002 in the arcade release.
Linus received an EX chart in pop'n music 解明リドルズ as part of the Kaimei! MN Tanteisha (解明!MN探偵社?) unlock system. It could be unlocked starting January 28, 2021.[3] As of September 29, 2022, it is available by default in pop'n music UniLab.

Song Production Information[1][2]
Thank you all for your comments on the crossed over songs from other games.
Before I knew it, as it became my turn, I was impressed that everyone wrote well so I didn't have to rewrite them.
Well, I'll gradually discuss the two game festivals. I don't have anything to write about, but I'll do my best.
I was already asked about how to read the song title previously, so the answer is Linus (ライナス?).
The title was going to be "Pantograph", but I'm glad it wasn't.
I'm glad I didn't do the EX score, right? Yes, pop'n 8 has rumors of being filled with ghost charts as well. Soyuko and Suyuko, work on it!
Or rather, at the data deadline, I was conflicted about reducing the notes of this song from pop'n or fixing the 321 notecharts, but I eventually chose 321, so these notecharts became compatible with IIDX. If I had time to recreate them in IIDX, I wanted to approach it from another direction. As always, the work estimate is still very close to the deadline.
Looking back, this song was created after TAKA said, "Something like an instrumental theme song included as a song from a concept album". I first thought about making it more fashionable lounge, but after deciding on the song title first and children became the theme, I twisted it in this direction. So if you listen carefully, there are children making noise from beginning to end.
While I was at it, I impulsively changed my alias, so I was a bit honored and a little sorry to have various names brought up as my identity. Rather, it was enjoyable to create a person like that. It seems there's a feeling that everyone wanted to create many aliases, but I didn't understand it.
By the way, it appears in Sado because it's a tribute to the Niigata Prefecture, where the grandmother of Shiroro's creator, shiro, resides.
Ah, I have told all I have to say. I have no regrets about Linus. It's still Linus at the moment.
