Koharu Shimoe (下江コハル in Japanese) is one of the characters of the 2021 roleplay game Blue Archive who studies in Trinity General School and wields a Sniper Rifle. She is a member of the Supplementary Lessons Department (or Make-Up Work Club), a club made by Trinity's student council, the Tea Party, to help aid failing students in succeeding. Koharu is also a member of the Justice Realization Committee (or Justice Task Force/JTF), a club whose purpose is to maintain order and uphold justice around the school, but due to her failing grades, she was temporarily prohibited to join any Justice Task Force activities and transferred to the Make-Up Work Club.
She played as a supporting protagonist throughout the first, second, and third chapters of the main story's third volume, "Eden Treaty", where she and her Make-Up Work Club give their best to pass the Special Evaluation Exam and avoid expulsion while discovering the secrets behind the club's creation and what's going on behind Trinity. She also appeared as a supporting protagonist during the second chapter of the final volume, "Where All Miracles Begin". She's also a supporting protagonist in one of the side events, "Trinity's Extracurricular Activities", where she and a few others uncover secrets inside the ruins of an uninhabited island.
Appearance
Koharu's halo consists of a pink outer ring with features similar to her wings and a simple inner ring. Koharu wears a black Trinity school uniform with pink features that is sliding off her left shoulder which exposes her white bra strap, and a short maroon pleated skirt.
Personality
A delusional young girl from the Justice Task Force, she is known for her constant calling out of anything that is even remotely sexual, claiming any lewd behavior will result in a death penalty. However, she's often proven herself to be hypocritical for often being in possession of lewd books and the like, which is often teased by her raunchy friend Hanako Urawa. She also often claims to be an elite student, despite failing so many tests she ended up in the Make-Up Work Club.
Even so, she has proven to be a loyal friend who wants to uphold justice, a common characteristic in the Justice Task Force. Although she comes off as shy sometimes, she is willing to stand up and protect her friends in need, which was very apparent during the third chapter of "Eden Treaty" where she defended Mika Misono from being bullied.

The grenade itself resembles the Globus cruciger that symbolizes Christ's authority over the world.
Koharu is often deemed as a "censorship" icon by fans which is credited to her anti-pervert behaviour, to the point her image is used by the official media to censor some promotional graphics in the Chinese version of the game.[1]
