Sho

Sho ( (ショー) Shō) is one of the villagers of Ishigami Village. He is married to Sango.

Appearance

Sho is an older man with square features and a full beard. His eyes are narrow with crow's feet at the corners and lines underneath. His eyebrows are thick and dark with no arch, however they become wider towards the outside. He has a large, bulbous nose and creases between his brows. His cheeks are somewhat hollow, accentuating his cheekbones. Around his mouth, he has also got pronounced smile lines. He wears his hair up in a high ponytail which is tied using a thick rope.

His clothing consists of an olive green tunic with no sleeves and a matching pair of pants. He has a rope tied around his waist with a long knife strapped to it, worn at the small of his back.

Personality

Sho seems to be quite dedicated to his craft, almost never shown away from fish or boats. He is frequently shown hanging out with the other elders, especially Alumi and Natri. He seems relatively happy, and gets excited along with everyone else over what science can do.

Abilities and Skills

Sho is a particularly skilled fisherman, who catches enough fish to feed the whole town.[3]

Synopsis

Sho first appears when Senku arrives at the village, holding several fish on hooks ready to dry them on the roofs.[4] Later, in the crowd watching Ginro's match against Senku, he expresses the sentiment that Ginro is the last person who should ever become Village Chief due to his sleazy ways.[5]

Once the Tsukasa Empire had been defeated, Chrome immediately called the elders left in the village to update them. Sho is shown clenching his fist with tears in his eyes at the fact that they won and no one died.[6] During the boat competition, Mantle also calls Sho asking about boat building to help out Magma.[7] Sho, along with the other elders and children in Ishigami Village, welcome the hot air balloon team back with a feast of fish. After some more exploring, Sho and the others marvel at the detailed map Senku was able to draw of the area. As Alumi cries tears of joy at never having to starve again, Sho comforts her, commenting that it had been some time since they needn't have to worry about a bad year.[8]

After Ibara's defeat, Sho is alongside Ruri on the communication tower in Roppongi Hills, receiving Senku's call.[9]
