Chapter 98

Ryusui (龍 (りゅう) 水 (すい) , Ryūsui) is the ninety-eighth chapter of the Dr. Stone manga.

Summary

With the iron mine and mine carts set up, the Kingdom of Science continue improving their infrastructure by building paved roads, so the raw materials from the mine can be transported to the shore for further transport by boat. Later, Kaseki calls in saying that he'd overestimated his ability building such a big boat. The parts aren't aligning and the hull is beginning to warp. Senku said he saw this coming, and says they'll have to downsize.

Hearing the Kingdom lament this problem, Ryusui recalls his past where his uncle tells him that he should give up on his impossible desires. This only lights a fire under him, pushing him to be even more determined to succeed. In the past, he'd always found a way to get what he wanted. Francois was also asked about how uncontrollable Ryusui is, and defends him by saying that "desire is noble".

Back in the present, Ryusui volunteers to make a smaller model of the ship by himself so that Kaseki can copy it larger. He insists on no payment apart from Senku's promise to not give up.
