Sagara (サガラ Sagara) is the pig that helped find the black gold (crude oil) for the Kingdom of Science.
Appearance
Sagara has the appearance of a general inoshishi piglet, the Japanese wild hog.
After becoming Suika's pet, Sagara was given a rope necklace to symbolize being part of the Kingdom of Science.[1]
Personality
Sagara doesn't have the good sense to be wary of danger, and probably would have met a tragic end out in the wild if Francois and Suika hadn't decided to keep him as a pet.

History
Sagara was captured by Kohaku and taken to the Kingdom of Science's new pig farm for Francois' restaurant. It's possible that Sagara was also one of the hogs used by Francois and Suika to hunt for truffles.
Synopsis
Age of Exploration Arc
Sagara was introduced while strapped to Francois' butchering table, moments away from being turned into pork rillettes. Francois hesitated, as Sagara smelled of oil which gave Senku enough time to rush over and stop them from killing him.[2]
Suika quickly trained and named Sagara, who then leads the oil-finding team to the mud-hole where he played previously. Senku tests the 'mud' with a match, causing it to combust and confirming that they've found the old Sagara oil field. Suika high-fives both Sagara and Chalk after their success, but realizes that Francois probably still intends to cook Sagara. Senku asks Francois if Sagara is "even worth eating", to which Francois responds the stink of oil ruins it for their cuisine. Suika and Sagara rejoice at not having to be eaten, and Sagara is given the village rope necklace, officially making him a member of Ishigami Village.[1]
New America City Arc
Sagara is also very excited to see Suika again after she returns from Treasure Island.[3]
South America Arc
Following the second Petrification Event, Sagara finds a sulking Chalk in the village after the villagers are petrified. Sagara and Chalk run off somewhere in the forest. Years pass, with Sagara and Chalk having grown.[4]
Globetrotting Arc
Following the return of the Perseus, Sagara and Chalk are reunited with the now older Suika. The trio share a hug after being separated for more than a decade. It turns out that the pair created a Stone wall to prevent the statues from being destroyed by environmental hazards. Suika is pleased they protected everyone before noticing they have families now. She noted on how they have moved on and decides to do the same before they separate. However this does not last long as both of them and their packs come in to dine on the cooking that François has made with the kingdom of science noting on how the break up didn’t last.[5]
