Shelbert is a medium-sized freight engine who also works on the Dream Fleet. He's a jovial little engine usually, but sometimes stresses out a bit when he really shouldn't, leading to a bit of trouble around the yard!

Shelbert appears to be based the Virginia and Truckee 2-6-0 class of engines, albeit with the lack of a tender.
Livery
Shelbert is painted red with gold lining, whistle-like eyelids and a funnel cap. His pistons and wheel rims are grey.

- Shelbert originated from the 2011 adaptation of 'The Little Engine that Could'.
- Soeren Hermansen was responsible for naming Shelbert. In the original movie, he was only referred to as 'Red Engine' or 'Engine #35'.
- Technically, Shelbert is the first character to appear in a Crotoonia video, alongside Skarloey, Megara, Hatsune Miku, and Meiko.
